This morning the Arms Control Wonk posted about an in-person OR distance learning opportunity, which I found to be very, very exciting. The Capacity Development Initiative of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (I know, it's a huge name) will be hosting an Advanced Science Course, "Around the Globe and Around the Clock: The Science and Technology of the CTBT". The course will be November 12-23 in Vienna, Austria. Obviously as a student, I don't have the budget to jet to Austria whenever there's something interesting, which is why programs streamed online are so awesome. Participants even have the chance to earn a certification! So my friends, I encourage you to go check it out. I'm already signed up, but I'd love to know if anyone else decides to register too.
